Two short links today:
1) The impact of debt on employment choices of youth: this story is quite interesting. It is about someone who had to radically alter their employment expectations because of the pile of student (and other) debt they accumulated in their 20s. The phenomenon of 20-somethings accumulating loads of debt to cover education and living expenses is not something that rare these days, so is it surprising that some would be increasingly willing to consider risky, stressful work and isolation from loved ones to make good on what they owe? Plus, it’s an interesting story. At least it has a happy ending.
2) The Trans-Pacific Partnership: pretty much just bringing what NAFTA brought to Canada, the US and Mexico to broader range of countries.
